Youth Advisory Council

The Youth Advisory Council is made up of high school students from local schools: Langley, McLean, and TJ. Recruitment begins in the fall, with recommendations from the schools’ Student Services departments. We target students who want to be leaders, but haven’t yet found an opportunity. The purpose of the YAC is to develop a leadership mindset and some foundational leadership skills in high school youth, with the outcome that they are prepared to lead the Middle School Forum.
